First, i would like to say this is an very controversial issue and i in every way respect your ideology.

But one thing that i personally abominate with passion is prejudice. By which i mean people judge with out seeing the whole picture of the event and obtain a very limited perspective.

After all, there are some important facts what i would like to address, first is the global media coverage. Media is the God, yes it is, powerful, persuasive. They take advantage of the faintharted - who are easily persuaded, they make up facts to sell magazines, they provide us with with facts with their perspective.

As much as media is entertainment, it is political. Same with the US government, it has been with war with china for some time already. From the escape of Li Hong Zhi, to supporting independence of Taiwan, to backing up Tibet. There is no doubt china and US is going against each other regardless of what the government spoke person say, and this is very crucial to understand. Reason for this? Fame, Power, Money. If you are the world’s richest man, would you sit on your ass and watch other people get rich and pass you by?

I personally think that Dali Lama is tricking the world, yes, hes playing with you guys, setting a trap. By being such a humanitarians, he has gained people’s attention and respect (i do respect his ideologies very much) - turning it into political power. He is the man who wants to be the emperor, he is the man who is day dreaming.

Remember, China will never give up on its land, because only together, are we one. Same thing goes to Taiwan.

China bans actress Tang Wei in Lust, Caution

Sunday, March 9th, 2008

Later I will show my attitude to this piece of news. Please read the news report from CBCNews.ca first.

Chinese officials have blacklisted actress Tang Wei for her role in the erotic Ang Lee-directed spy thriller Lust, Caution.

A memo sent Friday by China’s State Administration of Radio Film and Television (SARFT) to the country’s media demanded they remove any works and commercials featuring Wei, according to broadcasting trade paper The Hollywood Reporter.

Lust, Caution — which captured a Venice film festival Golden Lion last May — features Tang as an undercover insurgent who becomes sexually entangled with a powerful collaborator during Japan’s occupation of Shanghai in the 1940s in order to assassinate him.

“Beautifying Japanese collaborators sparked the controversy over Lust, Caution in China even more than the sex scenes did,” said a report from the United Evening News in China.

Tang was named best new performer in December’s Taiwan’s Golden Horse Awards — considered the Chinese-language Oscars — for her performance in the film.

Chinese officials have previously criticized Lust, Caution for its “glorification of traitors and insulting to patriots.”

SARFT allowed the film to be shown in China last year albeit with seven minutes of sex scenes removed.

Taiwan-born director Ang Lee, who won an Academy Award for directing 2005’s Brokeback Mountain, has been spared blacklisting because he is an artistic adviser to the Beijing Olympics. Nevertheless, he was not pleased with the move.

“I am very disappointed that Tang Wei is being hurt by this decision,” Lee said in a statement.

“She gave one of the greatest performances ever in a movie that was properly produced and distributed. We will do everything we can to support her in this difficult time.”

SARFT’s edict also excludes the actress from Chinese awards shows as well as the producers of the film. In addition, discussions about the film and Tang on web forums have been deleted, according to Hong Kong newspaper Oriental Daily.

The move comes just as the Asian Film Awards announced that Tang would be a presenter. It’s not known whether the awards, set for March 17 in Hong Kong, will be affected by the decree.

Chinese authorities have been exercising stricter controls over film, media and the web over the past few years.

They have banned talent shows, cosmetic programs and any shows deemed to be overtly pornographic or sexual on television and radio.

Recently, they limited the broadcast of foreign cartoons on primetime television as well as anything that touches upon horror, crime and the supernatural in film.

Edison Chen Sex Photo Scandal: More Girls of The Rich Are Involved!

Sunday, March 2nd, 2008

Oh my god! The Edison Chen sex photo scandal is really beyond my imagination! After about ten actresses and singers were exposed yesterday and the day before, today eight girls of the rich are exposed for being involved in this scandal!

Here is the map of the women involved in this scandal from the Internet. You can click the thumb to view the original photo!

Edison Chen sex photo scandal has never ended up.

Saturday, March 1st, 2008

We know Hong Kong’s Edison Chen sex photo scandal has been spread and known all over the world. In my prior entry, I have said that under the pressure of authority, the spread of sex photos has stopped. But that’s not the whole story.

Some days ago, Edison Chen came back Hong Kong from the USA. After he stepped in Hong Kong’s airport, the police went up and asked him for an inquiry as soon as possible. Then, Edison Chen made a public apologize in front of hundreds of reporters after a short rest.

Now, the inquiry’s result has been leaked to the press. More and more women actresses are involved in this scandal! Even some very famous and senior ones! That’s amazing! Maybe we can never image this scandal going so surprising.

The Edison Chen sex photo scandal has never ended up! My readers and I, we will follow this event closely.

Dawn Yang: “Why I revealed Edison’s indecent proposal to me”

Thursday, February 28th, 2008

“I brought up the personal anecdote of my encounter with Edison not to attract attention, but to drive home a point that no matter how charming or famous a guy is, a girl should not allow herself to be caught in compromising situations, as she has more to lose.

“I don’t want to say anything more about my personal encounter with Edison as that was not the point of my STOMP article.

“I brought this up because when the scandal broke, a chill went down my spine as I could have been one of the unintended victims too.

“I just wanted to share this with the STOMP readers to drive home my message to girls out there to be careful and sensible, not to create a scandal or unwanted news around myself.

“People who read the whole article on STOMP will see that the anecdote was only a small part of it, not the crux; I find it upsetting that the mainstream media is taking the anecdote out of context and blowing it up, completely missing the point and message of my original article.

“Unfortunately I have no control over what STOMP decides to make headlines or not; I even tried my best to persuade SPH not to run this in the papers.

“Riding on the wave of the scandal is NOT ME, its the media and papers who make these headlines to sell more and make money.”

Edison Chen’s Statement for Sex Photo Scandal

Saturday, February 23rd, 2008

Today I’ve come back to Hong Kong, to stand before you, and account for myself. I’ve never escaped from my responsibility.

During the past few weeks, I’ve been with my mother, my family and loved ones, to show support and care, and at the same time, have them support and care for me.

I admit that most of the photos being circulated on the Internet were taken by me. But these photos were very private and have not been shown to people and were never intended to be shown to anyone. These photos were stolen from me illegally and distributed without my consent.

There is no doubt whoever obtained these photos have been uploaded them on the Internet with malicious and deliberate intent. This matter has deteriorated to the extent that society as a whole has been affected by this. And in this regard, I’m deeply saddened.

I would like now to apologize to all the people for all the suffering that has been caused, and the problems that have been arisen from this. I would like to apologize to all the ladies and to all their families, for any harm or hurt they have been feeling. I’m sorry.

I would like to also apologize to my mother and my father, for the pain that they are suffering that I’ve caused them during these past few weeks.

Most importantly, I would like to say sorry to all the people of Hong Kong. I give my apologies sincerely to you all - unreservedly and with my heart.

I know young people in Hong Kong look up to many figures in our society. And in this regard, I have failed as a role model. However, I wish that this matter would teach everyone a lesson: to all the young people in our community, let this be a lesson for you all. This is not an example to be set for you.

During my time away, I’ve made an important decision. I will wholeheartedly fulfil all commitments that I have to take. But after that, I decide to step away from the Hong Kong entertainment industry. I decided to do this to give myself an opportunity, to heal myself, and to search my soul. I will dedicate my time to charity and community work within the next few months. I will be away from Hong Kong entertainment indefinitely, there is no time frame.

I’ve been assisting the Police, since the first day the photos were published. And I will continue to assist them. After this press conference, I have obligations to help them with their investigation and hope that this case can end soon, as everyone I think has the same wish. I would like to use this opportunity to thank the Police, for their hard work on this case. Thank you.

I believe everyone’s priority now, my priority now, is to stop the suffering and pain. We do not want to let this situation become more out of control. We need to protect all the innocent, and all the young, from matters like this. In this regard, I have instructed my lawyer to do everything possible within the law, to protect all the innocent victims of this case.

I believe that a press statement is being issued as we speak, on what my lawyer has advised me to do.

Lastly, I would like to thank everyone for coming here today, and listening to what I have to say. I would like to also apologize once again to all the ladies and their families, my family, and to everyone in Hong Kong, and everyone in our society. I’m deeply saddened by this. And I apologize to everyone that has to go through this.

I would like to also thank you for giving me this opportunity to say whatever I wanted to say all along in my heart. I hope after today, I can have your forgiveness. In regard to this case and everything that has happened, I’m deeply sorry. I hope you all will accept my apology and give me a chance. Thank you.

Nicholas Tse, Cecilia Cheung and their Lucas

Friday, February 22nd, 2008

Although Nicholas Tse and Cecilia Cheung have publicly announced they have separated, and will divorce legally after one year, some Hong Kong papers are falsely reporting the couple are still together. A source close to Nicholas says he found out about Cecilia’s cheating during their marriage, and Nicolas can no longer trust Celilia to remain faithful. Nicholas and Cecilia are trying to keep things civil between them however, for the sake of their son Lucas.

Nicholas is also very concerned that Lucas may not be his biological son, and a source says this is breaking Nicholas’ heart. First there was the feeling of betrayal after discovering his wife cheated with several men before their marriage, then rumors that Cecilia cheated during the marriage, and now heart breaking doubts that Lucas may not be his son. Nicholas is said to be demanding a paternity test for Lucas to be sure he is his son. If the test confirms Nicholas is the father, then he may consider working things out, and forgiving Cecilia … for Lucas.

Making this worse for Cecilia however, is a rumor that Ceclilia may be once again pregnant, and not with Nicholas’ baby. Hopefully Cecilia is not pregnant. Their marriage cannot take anymore stress, or it will break to pieces. Cecilia is working again, shooting ads to try to return to a normal life.

When Lucas was born the elder Tse grandfather, who is 71 years-old, told Apple Daily that the baby Lucas has dimples and lively eyes. He added, “I fear he might be too popular with girls when he grows up. When he is old enough to walk, I will buy him sunglasses to shield him from women.”

Perhaps Lucas could use those sunglasses now to shield his eyes from the trouble his parents are facing.

Somehow fans need to find a way to show their overwhelming support for Nicholas and Cecilia to help them stay together for the sake of their baby Lucas. Leave your comments and well wishes for Nicholas and Ceclia. Perhaps they will see your messages and decide to stay together.

2R: No Comments on Edison Chen Sex Photo Scandal

Thursday, February 21st, 2008

Female pop duo 2R, Rosanne Wong, and Race Wong, returned from Singapore to Hong Kong this evening, and neither were willing to comment on the recent naughty picture scandal involving Edison Chen.

Race only said that she wished for the police to solve the case as soon as possible, because everyone had been made quite unhappy by it. She revealed that even her family had urged for the duo to leave the entertainment industry, but she said they won’t quit, because they share a great love for singing and acting. She added that they hoped they will not be dragged into the scandal.

Why are they worried about being dragged into the scandal? Have they let Edison take pictures of them as well?

Rosanne was romantically linked by the press to Edison in 2004. Newspapers have speculated if she will be the next celebrity implicated by the scandal. So there’s your answer. We’ve heard rumors that pictures of Rosanne Wong will surface soon.

Quizzed on whether or not they knew of rumors that Edison threatened to commit suicide if his current girlfriend Vincy Yeung didn’t accept his marriage proposal, and being unsuccessful, slit his wrist in a suicide attempt, Race had no reply. She said a Chinese New Year greeting before leaving the airport with Rosanne.

If Rosanne was smart she’d just admit there are pictures of her as well, and just issue an apology before they hit the Internet.

the Sex Photo event of Edison Chen and Girl Stars of Hong Kong

Saturday, February 16th, 2008

Firstly, let’s see a piece of news report from NYTimes:

One of Hong Kong’s most popular singers, Gillian Chung, who has a following of girls in their early teens and younger and who has been prominently featured in ads for Hong Kong Disneyland, seems to appear repeatedly in the photographic material. Ms. Chung is part of a duo known as the Twins.

At a brief news conference on Monday, Ms. Chung neither confirmed nor denied that she appeared in the images, but she said she had been “naïve” in her youth and regretted causing distress to her family and fans. The date of the images is unclear, but they appear to have been taken over the last several years.

When a few photos began to circulate on the Internet in late January, the Emperor Entertainment Group, the promoter of Ms. Chung and several other singers involved, suggested that the photos had been altered to place the stars’ faces on other women’s bodies in the videos and photographs. Spokesmen for Emperor Entertainment declined to comment on the dispute.

Late Tuesday, in an e-mail reply to questions, the Hong Kong police confirmed that they had arrested nine people and said that two had been charged so far with “publishing obscene articles” and one had been charged with “access to a computer with dishonest/criminal intent.”

The police declined to address the question of selective enforcement except to say that “any enforcement action taken by the police is in accordance with the laws in Hong Kong.”

Some observers say they see the current cases as part of a toughening of Hong Kong police policies. The arrests coincide with preparations for six Olympic equestrian events to be held in Hong Kong in August.

Jackie Hung, the vice convener of the Civil Human Rights Front, a broad coalition of nongovernmental groups in Hong Kong, said she knew of 37 protesters arrested last year at nonviolent demonstrations.

The crackdown contrasts starkly with Hong Kong’s recent past. When about 500,000 people protested on July 1, 2003, against a proposal for strict internal security laws, the police arrested no one. Afterward, the government withdrew the proposal.

Hong Kong media reported this week that a video store across the border in mainland China was selling CDs of the singers’ explicit videos and photos for $2.70 each, but was promptly closed by mainland officials. Discussions of the videos and photos have flooded Internet forums in Hong Kong and the mainland.

The photos and videos appear to show a well-known male Hong Kong singer and record producer, Edison Chen, in separate scenes with at least six women, four of whom are also well-known singers. In a video released last week, Mr. Chen apologized “to anyone who has been affected” and asked the public to delete any copies of the photos.

“The lives of many innocent people have been affected by this malicious and criminal conduct, and in this regard I am filled with pain, hurt and frustration,” Mr. Chen said.

According to the police, Mr. Chen took his laptop computer to a local computer repair shop, and the computer’s memory was copied there. An employee at a downtown computer store, eLiTe Multimedia Ltd., who only gave his last name, Yeung, said on Tuesday that a former employee had been arrested, but he declined to elaborate, citing the police investigation.

The current scandal has led Hong Kong tabloids to run reports in the last several days of supposed plans by gangsters to “teach a lesson” to Mr. Chen and perhaps even kill him. Organized crime has long played an important role in Hong Kong’s entertainment industry.

Mr. Chen has left Hong Kong but plans to return this weekend and hold a news conference, said Mavis Leung, his spokeswoman, who declined to elaborate.

Well, now let us see more details. (Via)

In early 2008, during the traditional Chinese Spring Festival, lots of racy sexual acts photographs, between Edison Chen and some famous actresses Bobo Chan, Candice Chan Si-Wai, Edison Chen, Gillian Chung ,Cecilia Cheung, Rachel Ngan, Mandy Chen Yu-Ju, Candice Chan Si-Wai, was distributed on the Internet. It was said that these photos were taken by Edison Chen himself or the actresses involved photographically resembled to him and other actresses.

This photo scandal was a really big event for Hong Kong media, and even Mainland China and Taiwan. It was dominated the Hong Kong news headlines for more than a week, some people have been arrested in connection with the distribution of these photos, but the spread of these photos didn’t stop.

Now under the press of the authority of Hong Kong and China mainland, the Internet there has brought down the sound of this event and things seem to pass by. But the rapid spread of these porn sex photos is still going on the Internet, you can easily download the porn sex photos in BBSs or forums with adult content. Besides, you can get the whole archive of Edison Chen with those Girl Stars via almost any kind of P2P software with interrelated search key word!

Gillian Chung’s Statement for Sex Photo Scandal

Wednesday, February 13th, 2008

“Hello everyone. Happy (Chinese) New Year. This scandal has caused a lot of persecution and harm to me and people around me. I admit that I was so naive and silly in the past, but now I have already grown up. Thank my company (EEG), my family and my friends for their bless and support. This scandal has caused a lot of negative effects to the society, so I feel regret about that. In the future, I will continue to work hard, and face my life positively. Thank the media for their care. Also, I want to thank my fans for their greatest support. Thank you.”
